The Perfect Halloween Costume

By Ray Timmons

October 31st is the day to live out your fantasies.

This day is the only time of the year you can embrace the dark side! The costume you choose to wear is just the beginning. Go out of your way to develop a whole new persona.

This is your opportunity to become a figment of your imagination. Really think out the character you want to be. Go deep. Flush out your mannerisms, accents, and costume that will make this Halloween character, a persona people will talk about for years.

Throw your comfort zone out the window, because tonight, you aren't you. This is your chance to experiment, to do things you'd never do and wear items you'd never wear.

The clothes make the man or the woman. Find clothes, accessories, jewelry, shoes, any items that your character would wear on an everyday basis to accentuate your character.

Now that you've dressed up, its time to approach people as your character and take the night to the next level. Imaging how your character would interact with others.

Tonight you are not just dressed as James Bond, you are James Bond. Become the man with the golden gun. The man who only drinks Vodka Martinis shaken and not stirred. You are Bond, James Bond. The man that other men want to be.

Practice and internalize what that feels like, so you can recall those feelings again when you go out and meet a sexy new friend.

Once Halloween has passed, put the costume away, but keep the persona. Remember how it felt to be confident and untouchable with your alter ego. Carry these feelings into your new found life, just minus the costume.

Then, throughout the holiday season of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's celebrations, when you are in the field and you have a tinge of approach anxiety or can't imagine going for the kiss close, think to yourself "Well, what would my Halloween personality have done!" and do it.

Below are some costume ideas you can use for you next Halloween adventure.

+ A charismatic Superman. Next time you watch Christopher Reeves in Superman 1, notice how the man looks longingly and confidently at Lois Lane. He never flinches or slouches. Superman posture is the perfect. Notice how he never slouches and his chest is always puffed out. Take careful note, that it is not always about what a man says, but how he holds himself.

+ A mysterious and troubled Vampire. Forget Twilight, watch the vampire movie, "Interview with the Vampire." Take special notice of Tom Cruise's character. Notice how he seemingly hypnotizes every women with a look. Although most people will not admit it, they secretly love the idea of being hypnotized by a vampire.

+ 80's glam or hair metal rock star. Rock stars always attract tons of women!

+ When in doubt, try dressing up as a pirate. Johnny Depp has revolutionized how people perceive pirates.

+ A giant teddy bear. The perfect costume to maximize your hugabilty rating.

Happy Trick or Treating!!!
