Is At Home Mole Removal Safe?

By John King

Moles can cause health issues for your skin and that is why medical science has invented various therapies to get rid of surface moles. Nobody wants their moles to become a health risk and that is why people are becoming more motivated these days to get rid of them in the easiest way possible. Some therapies and surgeries can leave deep scars after removing moles. That is why, new removal therapies are coming to the market and getting popular too. Recently, iodine has become a good mole removing agent and many people have started using it.

The amount of iodine used will be determined by the size of your mole. More effort will be required if your mole is larger and darker in color which can take weeks versus a smaller and lighter colored mole which can take as little as a few days. To remove moles from the skin, iodine should prove to be effective. Moles can be easily irritable or they can be soft and billowy but there is a wide variety of them out there.

The use of iodine on the billowy type moles for 4-6 weeks will better your chances of achieving spotless skin. However, if you have a mole that is flat to the skin, iodine will not be effective on these. After application of the iodine, you most likely won't see any visible effects until after 3-4 uses when you may notice the mole becoming more pinkish in color. From that point forward, you should see significant changes happening.

It is good practice to put lotion surrounding the mole before you apply the iodine to it. Then scratch the mole lightly with a nail file before application of the iodine. For women, you may want to use makeup to carefully hide the pink color of the mole if it is located on your face. The key to clear and spotless skin is patience. For a long time, home mole removal was thought of as dangerous. If you pick the right method and do it correctly, you can assure anyone that questions this, that at home remedies are safe and completely risk free.

Iodine usually works really well on moles, even if it does not work with the flat moles you need not worry. There is no side effect at all. Some of my friends even said that the pink color will stay forever and that I will have only worsened the situation. But nothing of that sort has happened and I now sport glowing and mole free skin. It was long thought that the removal of moles should only be left to trained experts but with the advancement of technology and the use of the internet for research, mole removal can be done in the privacy of your own home. Moles usually appear with growing age but with remedies like iodine or natural herbal remedies, mole free skin is an increasing possibility.
