Thai Massage History and Benefits

In Thailand, the traditional Thai Yoga Massage is also called Nuad Bo Rarn. It refers to very old therapeutic or holy medicine. This Eastern form of therapy believes that the entire body must be worked on, to treat an illness and not just one particular part of the body alone. It also believes that energies gush along a system of channels or lines called Nadis or Meridians inside the human body. Hence, any unevenness in the flow of energies is connected to ailments.

Thai yoga therapy is an art of healing. It is very popularly called The traditional Thai Yoga Massage. It dates back to Gautama Buddhas period which is approximately about 2,500 years ago. The founder of this curative massage is Jivaka Kumara Bhaccha. Jivaka Kumara Bhaccha was the physician to Buddha.

Understanding Thai Yoga:

It is believed by those in India and Thailand that there are over 72,000 energy lines present through the entire body. However, only ten have been chosen to be utilized by Thai Yoga Massage.

The sense of touch is an essential part of both our physical and psychological health. Thai Yoga therapy is refined by divine life force. While it works to improve relaxation, it also allows people to feel the comfort and meditative condition of mind and body.

What it does?

Thai massage therapy does not work with the body, but the energy in the body. Each energy point is compressed or general pressure applied. This type of massage is a mixture of Asanas, Acupressure, Thumbing, Stretching, Palming and gentle twisting. The goal is to maintain a balance between the psyche, spirit and body through both the donor and receiver.
