What Are The Fashion Blunders Men Should Keep Away From?

By Melanie R. Carter

Looking fine is simply not the prerogative of women alone. Men too need to pay attention to the way they look. Fashion and men might not always go hand in hand easily. It's a very common sight to have men make some or the other fashion bloopers. Though some of them are simple to handle or stomach, there are a few others that are nowhere less than fashion blunders. If you want to remain away from such fashion disasters, it's first essential to know all about them. Here's an inventory of few of them.

One of the most common fashion mistakes a man makes is the pairing of socks and sandals. While they may work individually, together they are an absolute no-no. Socks sometimes only look good with shoes and wearing them with sandals can make you look ridiculous. Many men wear sandals to appear casual but also put on socks to ward off low temperatures. So if you'd like to sport the casual look without catching a cold, try wearing loafers or sneakers rather than socks and sandals. It will help in keeping the cool it while keeping up your fashion quotient.

Off late, many men have shown an inclination towards novelty ties, shirts, shorts and other clothing items. As cool as these novelty clothing items may look, they're going to be evaded at all cost. The smiley face on the necktie or the fighter shorts imprinted with 12 hearts could be visually appealing but is a tragedy when worn. For men, straightforward is always better.

Blaring design labels is another fashion mistake to avoid. It is a common sight to see men with brand names imprinted in bold letters on their chest. There is no need for you to work as a walking advertisement of any brand. Whether or not the brand name is written in jarring letters on the back, arms or any place else, avoid it completely. Keep your look as understated and as straightforward as possible.

Yet another thing that you can do in this context is to do away with your collection of corpulent shoes. This style accessory falls straight into the class of fashion fake paux. These shoes belonged to the era of nineties only. In the present times they look unconditionally misplaced. Besides fat shoes, you also have to maintain distance from the shoes which have square toes. If you do not want to be the giggling stock of many, it is recommended to adhere to the basic shoe styles.

No matter how much gold and sparkle is in vogue, men need to remain away from all the bling. Don't befool yourself into believing that shiny garments will make you look hep and you can wear them when going pubbing. Your effort to be part the glitterati bandwagon will only mar your appearance. The best and the sure shot system to rock the party is to deck up yourself in a black shirt. This can actually make many heads turn.

So now that you are well informed of what all you need to maintain distance from, you are surely bound to receive a lot of compliments for your sense of style.
