By Brent Briceton

Do not lose hope. If you have been short all your life, and you have tried everything with no results, these tips may just help you. These valuable tips will help you grow taller naturally. This means it will be safe for you while you also improve your overall health as well.

Before we proceed, it is important that we understand the basics of how our bodies and bones grown. When you were a baby you had lesser bones than you have now. This is a fact. An infant's bones consist of cartilages. As one grows older, the cartilages become fused into solid bones. In the adolescence stage, this process will continue. Also the growth plates at the ends of the long bones will continue to stretch and lengthen.

However, don't believe any advertisement you see or hear that claims to sell certain exercises that lengthen and stretch your bones. Bones simply don't work that way. Once they've stopped growing, nothing will make them grow again. Any organization that claims this is trying to cheat you out of your money. Additionally, avoid scams that boast hormone supplements or vitamin supplements that claim to make you taller. These simply don't work.

One must however keep in mind that all these will not mean that exercises will become irrelevant. When doing regular exercises and incorporating stretching exercises for that matter will help one grow faster. This is important during the years where there are growth spurts. Once the stage wherein the bones have finished growing, don't expect these exercises to be effective in making you grow taller. What it can do however is make you look slender and more muscular. With more muscles, you will be more confident.

There are other ways to make you look taller. Wearing height enhancing clothing will be a big help. Dark colored clothing or those with pinstripes can make your legs and arms look taller. You can also use boots for that extra lift. Keep your posture straight. Not only will this help in giving you that taller look, but it will do well for your back and neck.
