Blunt Facts about How to Lose Weight Quickly

By Curt Joel

There are literally scores of people who want to lose weight as quickly as possible and of course, also as safely as possible. However, you need to bear in mind that research has shown that in order to lose weight and keep it off, you should ideally lose no more than one to two pounds of fat per week.

Unfortunately, rather than acknowledge the fact that effective weight loss requires a lifestyle change, many people tend to believe a one-time effort is all that is required, and this is why so many people end up failing.

Essentially, all effective fat loss plans tend to revolve around the same basic principles in that they focus on you reducing your calorie intake. This is primarily because you need to consume less calories than what your body requires, bearing in mind that in order to shed 1lb. of fat, you'll need a deficit of 3,500 calories.

In order to shed 2lbs. of fat each week, you would need to consume a thousand calories less than you do at present per week. This is of course based on the assumption that your weight is more or less stable.

Alternatively, you could also opt for increasing the amount of physical exercise you do so that your body will be burning 1,000 calories more each day than it's doing at present. Both of these approaches would result in you shedding 2lbs. of fat each week.

Unfortunately, both the above mentioned approaches fail to consider factors such as a person's individuality and personality, just as they don't take other factors such as hormone production into consideration.

However, if you're desperate to burn fat, and you're desperate to lose it as quickly as possible without being concerned whether or not you'll manage to keep it off, then the two approaches mentioned above are really all you need to know.

For people who are concerned with long term and permanent weight loss it is essential to approach body transformation as a lifestyle change.

Those people who manage to lose weight successfully and keep it off permanently, have in fact made exercise part of their daily life rather than seeing it has an unnecessary burden.

Instead, these people don't see exercise as being a chore but rather as something which they can enjoy. Apart from weight loss, a daily exercise program has far too many health benefits to list here.

It goes on and on.

The truth of the matter is; if you want to experience what it feels like to be your ideal weight and have more energy, then you should be thinking more about changing the way you live, rather than focusing on how to lose weight quickly.
